DIRECTOR GENERAL
Pasquale Ciocia
Coordinates the activity of the UPB in implementing the Council’s guidelines and oversees its operation. Supports and assists Council members in carrying out their duties.
In particular, the Director General:
- ensures the implementation of the Council’s resolutions;
- manages the administration and human resources of the UPB and monitors compliance with personnel regulations;
- prepares the draft budget and the financial management report and is responsible for the general accounting of the Office.
He heads the Office of the Director General which supports him in performing the aforementioned tasks.
MACROECONOMIC ANALYSIS SERVICE
Service Director: Libero Monteforte
Prepares analyses, checks and assessments relating to:
- the macroeconomic framework and related forecasts;
- calculation of potential output for the purpose of correcting budget balances;
- macroeconomic impact of the most significant public finance measures.
PUBLIC FINANCE SERVICE
Service Director: Flavio Padrini
Prepares, also by producing its own estimates, analyses, checks and assessments relating to:
- public finance forecasts, including by subsector, and periodic monitoring of actual trends during the year;
- dynamics and sustainability of public debt;
- compliance with budgetary rules;
- transparency of public accounts.
SECTORAL ANALYSIS SERVICE
Service Director: Maria Rosaria Marino
Prepares, also by producing its own estimates, analyses, checks and assessments relating to:
- revenue sources and spending sectors according to economic and functional classification;
- financial relations between levels of government;
- sustainability of spending programs in the medium and long term.
