The Parliamentary Budget Office and the National Social Security Institute (Istituto nazionale della previdenza sociale) signed an agreement (in Italian) for the selection and supply, free of charge, of the aggregate statisticaldata the PBO needs to perform its official function of analysing the Government’s macroeconomic forecasts and projections for the public finances and verifying compliance with national and European fiscal rules.
The agreement is part of the initiatives undertaken by the PBO to gain broad access to the economic and public finance databases established or populated by government departments, public law entities or entities owed by government organizations, in implementation of the provisions of the law establishing the PBO.
